At Hope for Families, we offer a range of courses and events to help support you on your journey. We’ve listed below some of our upcoming courses and training events, but if there’s something specific you’re looking for, feel free to contact us.

FAA Level 1 (Awareness) in First Aid for Mental Health

Friday 20th March 2026 (9:30am - 2:30pm)

Our First Aid for Mental Health training is aimed at professionals working with families, either in a paid or voluntary capacity.

Our First Aid for Mental Health instructors are certified by Nuco Training Ltd.

This training will be held on Zoom.

Cost: £50 per learner

 

Time Out for Couples - Cherish

Friday evening, 10th April 2026, 7:30 - 9:30pm

Time Out for Couples - Cherish is designed for any committed couple, at whatever age or stage of relationship. These single-session events provide ideal opportunities for couples to take time out to invest in their relationship. With video content from Care for the Family: The Marriage Sessions, participants will privately discuss and reflect together as a couple.

This session will be held on Zoom.

Cost: £10 per couple (supported places available).

 

Time Out for Parents - the Teenage Years

Wednesday evenings, 15th April - 20th May 2026, 7:30 - 9:30pm

This 6-session course helps parents and carers of teenagers to embrace the changes brought about by the teenage years. These sessions will help you to stay connected to your child and to build a strong relationship during this time.

This course will be held on Zoom.

Cost: £20 per household (supported places available).

 

Handling Anger in the Family

Tuesday evenings, 28th April - 19th May 2026, 7:30-9:30pm

This 4-session course focuses on how you and your child can understand and manage anger in a safe and healthy way.

This course will be held on Zoom.

Cost: £20 per household (supported places available).
